What’s your nickname?

Knighta.

Most memorable match?

Still to this day my most memorable is my first AFL game. I’ll never forget that.

Do you have any pre-game rituals or superstitions? Do any of your teammates?

Not really. I just like to stay relaxed, focused and think about what I have to do. Ivan Maric seems to walk around like a zombie before a game and do weird little things, so if I said anyone it’s him.

Most hated training drill?

I suppose at the end of training when Schwerdty (Physical Performance Manager Stephen Schwerdt) tells us to put our runners on and go for a 3km run when we’ve already trained for two hours. I hate that and he does it a bit especially in the pre-season.

If you could take one skill from another player in the competition what would it be?

Andrew McLeod’s silky skills and decision-making.

What’s your special skill outside of footy?

Having a good time and enjoying myself. I do take life seriously but I like to be able to see the good things.

If you were a cartoon character, who would you be?

I really like Family Guy at the moment. It's got to be a Simpson though, my favourite character is probably Milhouse, but I’m not a Milhouse at all!

Who are the best pranksters at the club?

I’d probably say now it's Nathan Van Berlo. He just got involved in it and once you’re in that pranking circle you can’t get out because everyone thinks you’re involved whether you did it or not. He used to be a bit of the quiet type but he’s come out of his shell and he’s good.

What’s in your locker at the club?

Not much, but lately Ivan (Maric) has been getting business cards and brochures from all around the place and he sticks them in my locker every day, so I’ve got some really random things in there at the moment.

What’s the ringtone on your mobile phone?

Pictures by Sneaky Sound System.

Who would you have on your table at the Brownlow?

I’d love to have my dad there and my brother Brad, but if I could have anyone on the table I’d like Richard Branson, maybe John Travolta and someone good to look at. Oh and of course my girlfriend.

Who takes the longest to get ready out of all your teammates?

Not me, I’m quick! I’ve got to stitch someone up here, probably Darren Pfeiffer.

My mum always reminds me to...

Behave myself and stay out of trouble. I'm pretty good, but you know what mums are like, she just wants me to do the right thing.

If you weren't an AFL player...

I’d be at uni studying Commerce. I started in my first year when I came here, but I deferred and focusing on footy for now.
