At first it seemed a simple enough challenge - find the 20 greatest moments of the Adelaide Football Club to mark the 20th anniversary of our first game.

And some moments were easy to lock in. Both premierships and the first game were obvious choices and there were some individual feats that stood out. As the nominations were collected, however, the task became harder and harder. Fans on the website and the club’s Facebook page listed nearly 80 different moments and long-serving Crows staff and former players added to the mix. Yes, the premierships were great but within both games there were a number of other special moments. And how do you compare memorable individual efforts with great games or important off-field team moments? The debate continues but eventually the votes from our panel consistently favoured the top dozen moments and from there we kept juggling until arriving at this 20. Not everyone will agree but there is no doubt all of these great moments have in some way been significant or contributed to the progress of the Adelaide Football Club, or stuck in the minds of fans.

Voting has now closed. The order of the 20 greatest moments will be revealed soon.
