Retired Crow Trent Hentschel was influential for the Eagles in their win over Glenelg on Sunday but is in doubt this week with hamstring soreness.

It was another year of heartbreak for Glenelg as they exited the finals in straight sets, going down by 38 points.

Hentschel kicked two first quarter goals to get them back into the contest early and also one in the second. He finished with four goals from 10 possessions and five marks, but came off during the last quarter and will be monitored this week.

Rookie Luke Thompson had another solid defensive game for the Eagles finishing with nine disposals and two marks. James Sellar was solid for the Tigers in the ruck and kicked two goals playing up forward.

Jack Gunston will play in a SANFL Grand Final after Central District qualified for the 11th consecutive season.

The Bulldogs defeated Norwood by 18 points and Gunston was important during the third quarter. From limited game time, he finished with 14 possessions and one goal playing mainly on the wing.

Rookie Aidan Riley played in the reserves for Sturt in their 45 point loss to Port Magpies. He played mainly in the midfield and had a quieter game. The Double Blues get another chance to make the Grand Final when they take on Central District reserves this weekend.
