There will be 14 Crows in action when round one of the SANFL 2011 season kicks off this weekend.

Port Magpies take on Norwood at AAMI Stadium as a curtain raiser in the first game of the season, with rookie Tim Milera starting on the interchange for the Magpies.

North Adelaide take on West Adelaide at Prospect in the next game with two Crows in senior action.

Rookie Matthew Wright will start in the midfield for the Roosters and fellow rookie Chris Schmidt will line-up on a half-back flank for the Bloods.

There are five Crows in the clash between Glenelg and Sturt at Gliderol Stadium at 4.10pm on Saturday.

James Sellar starts at full forward for the Tigers and 2010 draftee Jarryd Lyons, 18, has been named in the centre for his SANFL debut.

For the Double Blues, Matthew Jaensch will look to push his case for an AFL recall starting in the forward pocket, as will Brodie Martin from a half back flank. Rookie Aidan Riley has been named on an extended interchange.

In the final game on Sunday at Woodville Oval, the Eagles host South Adelaide. Jared Petrenko will return from injury to play in a forward pocket for the home side, Luke Thompson has been named on the bench while for the Panthers, Myke Cook starts in a back pocket.

In the SANFL reserves, Lachlan Roach lines up for the Roosters, while Jake von Bertouch and Sam Martyn are playing for the Eagles.

The rest of Adelaide’s squad trains early on Saturday morning, either at the Adelaide Uni grounds or with the rehabilitation group.

Kurt Tippett, who missed round one with an ankle injury, hopes to start some football training early next week.
