The Crows have reclaimed young midfielder Nick Joyce in Tuesday’s AFL Pre-season Draft.

Originally selected with pick No. 46 in last year’s AFL National Draft, Joyce was an unfortunate victim of circumstance last month. The 19-year-old was delisted by Adelaide as a result of the AFL’s ruling not to allow the Club to cut outgoing forward Kurt Tippett before the third list lodgement.

The former Crows staffer continued to train at Adelaide, with the Club committing to re-drafting him for the 2013 season. He officially re-joined the list with pick No.10 in the Pre-season Draft.

List Manager David Noble praised Joyce's response to a "difficult situation".

"Nick's showed a lot of maturity, beyond his years, in the way he's handled the whole scenario from the moment we spoke to him," Noble said.

"He hasn't let it affect him. He's continued to be diligent to the point that he ran a personal best time (in the five-minute run) on Monday.

"It's a credit to Nick, the way he's gone about it and that's what you like to see - players being able to respond under a bit of adversity."
