My AFL Fantasy form has been a little bit scratchy to start the season.

I only just cracked 2,000 last round, scoring 2054 points and I’m not even in the top 100 of our official Crows Fantasy League! But it’s a long season, so I can recover.

Putting Gary Ablett as my captain was the best decision I made. All the Fantasy coaches who stuck by Gaz after a quieter game the week before would’ve been happy with his 292 points on the weekend.

I had a good week in the midfield all round, but my forwards have been letting me down. I’ve got Danger and Eddie in my team. I’ve had a quiet work to them this week, so I expect massive scores from them on Sunday.

I made two trades last week. Jeremy Laidler got dropped after his first game and Tom Langdon scored really well, so I thought I’d bring in Langdon before his price went up. Langdon’s averaging 81 points and has already jumped up to $249,035 in value, so that was a good move.

My second trade hasn’t panned out as well – yet. Josh Caddy is a good player, but that’s not really showing in his Fantasy scores. Even when he does play well, he’s only scoring 70-80 points so he might be a better SuperCoach player. I got rid of Caddy and brought in Dayne Zorko, who went terribly, so that was a great move by me! Zorko can score pretty big, so hopefully he picks up.

Gary Rohan has to be in the gun this week. He’s been subbed out or in the last two weeks, which has obviously affected his scores. I don’t have too much money in the bank at the moment though, so I might need to trade down somewhere else to trade up. I need some more guns in my side.

The first lot of price rises have happened, but it’s just the start for some of the cheaper players. I think you need to hang on to your cash cows for at least another two weeks. You need to wait until their prices max out before you considering trading them. Guys like Langdon, Xavier Ellis, Luke Dunstan and Dom Tyson, who has probably been my pick up of the season, are going to continue to rise in value.

I’ve got some work to do to catch up to Kevin and his team Hand of Doom, which is ranked No.1 in our Official Adelaide Crows Fantasy League competition. It’s not too late to join our League. Just use the code EV5E9HH3 to enter.

Unfortunately, I’m out injured for a few weeks with a broken leg. But I think the more time I spend off the footy field the better 'Brad’s Bogans' will go!
