South Adelaide continued its bright start to the SANFL season with an impressive away win over North Adelaide on Saturday.

Forward Brett Eddy kicked six goals and Magarey Medallist Joel Cross was among the Panthers’ many winners through the midfield.

Port Adelaide bounced back from its round one loss to Norwood, thumping Glenelg by 152 points at Alberton Oval on Sunday. Port captain Steve Summerton had 36 possessions and John Butcher kicked five goals.

Central District dominated the last three terms at Elizabeth on Saturday to defeat Norwood by 42 points. Promising midfielder Josh Glenn starred for the Bulldogs along with Trent Goodrem and former Richmond forward Ben Nason.

In a tight game at Richmond on Friday night, the Eagles held on in the last term to defeat West Adelaide by ten points. James Boyd and Luke Powell were terrific through the midfield and goalsneak Lachlan McGregor bagged four goals for the winners.
