Two Crows cracked the Fantasy ton on Saturday night despite Adelaide's heart-wrenching loss to Richmond in the wet at Adelaide Oval.
Sam Jacobs ($511,629) continued his career-best season with another 107 points against the Tigers on Saturday night.
Jacobs dominated the ruck duel against ex-Crow Ivan Maric, amassing 46 hit-outs along with 14 possessions, five tackles and four marks in another herculean effort.
It was Jacobs’ seventh triple-figure total from his past nine outings, which saw his Fantasy value rocket beyond the half-million dollar mark for the first time this year.
‘Sauce’ will finish the season as the most prolific Fantasy ruckman of 2014. With Preliminary Finals beginning this weekend, contending coaches must have Jacobs in their side.
Patrick Dangerfield ($465,233) posted a promising 95 points at Adelaide Oval from a team-high 24 disposals and seven tackles.
Danger’s total was his best since Round 17 as the Crows joint vice-captain looks to lead Adelaide to a last-gasp finals appearance.
The dual All Australian has battled gamely all season despite close attention from opposition clubs. This has hurt Danger’s ability to score consistently, but he remains one of only a handful of players in the competition who can produce a monster Fantasy score on his day.
With scores of 149, 135 and 132 this season, an on-song Dangerfield could be a Fantasy match-winner in the final two games of the year.
Brad Crouch ($501,070) also notched 95 points against the Tigers as he continued his incredible finish to the season.
The 20-year-old midfielder has scored 95 points or more in his past six outings to be one of the most consistent-scoring Crows since his return from a serious leg injury in Round 15.
Crouch’s form has seen him join Sam Jacobs in the half-million dollar club for the first time this year.
With a total of 101 points in his last appearance against the Roos, it looks likely that the rise of Brad Crouch will continue this weekend.
