The Adelaide Football Club has appointed respected player manager Justin Reid as General Manager – List Management and Strategy.

Reid has spent the past 14 years at leading talent management and sports marketing company, Elite Sports Properties (ESP). He’s held a number of roles within the organisation, including managing many of the League’s biggest stars and currently heads up ESP’s AFL Talent Division.

Reid’s move to the Crows sees him take responsibility for player contracts, trading and free agency among other tasks, while reporting to Head of Football David Noble.

Reid said the time was right to change his career path within the AFL.

“I am passionate about the football industry and have always enjoyed a good working relationship with the Adelaide Football Club,” Reid said.

“A recent meeting with CEO Andrew Fagan and David Noble progressed my interest in crossing to club land and I look forward to the new challenge.”

Noble described Reid as a skilled negotiator who possessed vast industry knowledge.

“Justin brings fresh ideas and a different perspective on list management, as well as other areas of our business,” he said.

“He has long-term relationships right across the football industry and understands our needs.”

Reid, who will be based in Melbourne, starts with the Club in January.
