Patrick Dangerfield has been nominated for the AFL Goal of the Year for his stunning left-foot finish in the final term of Adelaide’s win over North Melbourne.

The explosive midfielder won a centre clearance to kick off the fourth quarter and sent the ball inside 50m.

Dangerfield then followed up, collected the ball at ground level and burst past Roos opponent Michael Firrito, slotting six points with a classy left-foot kick from the pocket.

Fans can win a weekly cash prize of $200 and a grand prize of $5,000 just for voting.

This season, supporters can vote for the same player multiple times, but only once per 24-hour period.

Polls close at 11.30pm (SA time) on Thursday, April 9.
