Cam Ellis-Yolmen and Josh Jenkins have been recalled for Adelaide’s clash with Greater Western Sydney at Spotless Stadium on Saturday.

The pair replaces injured defender Matthew Jaensch (knee) and wingman Brodie Smith, who has been rested after suffering his second concussion of the season last weekend.

Ellis-Yolmen and Jenkins, who have both played five games this season, return after a fortnight on the sidelines with minor injuries.

Coach Phil Walsh said he’d been impressed with the in-form Giants’ start to the season.

“They are a really exciting team. We all knew there was talent there, but they’ve added a bit of experience and games to that talent, and brought Ryan Griffen and Joel Patfull in as well,” Walsh said.

“Take out the West Coast game, they’ve got a little bit more consistency in their performance. I looked at their midfield as well … Stephen Coniglio, Dylan Shiel, Treloar, Devon Smith and Lachie Whitfield – if they can keep that group together it’s going to worry a lot of teams.

“It’s going to be a great test.”

There are no SANFL matches this weekend because of the State game. Adelaide’s SANFL skipper Ian Callinan will represent South Australiain the match against Western Australia.

Fans in Western Sydney can watch the Crows train at a short, open training session at Spotless Stadium on Friday (May 21). The session will start at approximately 12:45pm (local time) and run for 45 minutes.
