Sam Kerridge will play his first AFL game of the season against Greater Western Sydney on Saturday.

Kerridge replaces wingman Ricky Henderson, who is a late withdrawal with a sore back. Young midfielder Jarryd Lyons will start as Adelaide’s substitute.

The Giants are as named, with Zac Williams to wear the green vest.

On Thursday, Cam Ellis-Yolmen and Josh Jenkins were recalled for the clash at Spotless Stadium.

The pair replaced injured defender Matthew Jaensch (knee) and All Australian Brodie Smith, who has been rested after suffering his second concussion of the season last weekend. Ellis-Yolmen and Jenkins, who have both played five games this season, return after a fortnight on the sidelines with minor injuries.

Coach Phil Walsh said he’d been impressed with the in-form Giants’ start to the season.

“They are a really exciting team. We all knew there was talent there, but they’ve added a bit of experience and games to that talent, and brought Ryan Griffen and Joel Patfull in as well,” Walsh said.

“Take out the West Coast game, they’ve got a little bit more consistency in their performance. I looked at their midfield as well … Stephen Coniglio, Dylan Shiel, Treloar, Devon Smith and Lachie Whitfield – if they can keep that group together it’s going to worry a lot of teams.

“It’s going to be a great test.”

The game starts at 2:10pm (NSW time). Get live updates by following the Club's official Twitter account @Adelaide_FC.
