It’s a question with no wrong answer.

Which Eddie Betts miracle from the boundary was the better goal?

Betts wowed the Adelaide Oval crowd with another mind-blowing major from an almost impossible angle in wet conditions on Saturday night. Eddie launched a 50m torpedo metres from the fence on his non-preferred boot which defied geometry to find its way through the big sticks.

It earned him a second straight weekly nomination for the AFL Goal of the Year. Vote for Eddie now.

But Eddie’s effort from the opposite pocket in Round 13 of last season was a tough act to follow.

Betts gathered a loose ball on the 50m arc at the northern end and set sail with a checkside punt from the boundary all while a Kangaroos opponent was baring him down. The ball worked back perfectly and cleared the goal line mid-post height.

Betts celebrated with captivated Crows fans at the fence, prompting former coach Brenton Sanderson to ‘formally’ instate the Eddie Betts pocket in his post-match press conference.
