Crows midfielders Nathan van Berlo and David Mackay are among 18 new dual-position players upgraded in the latest AFL Fantasy update.
Already one of the most popular cash cows this season, former Crows captain van Berlo has become a FWD/MID ahead of Round 12. The hard-running midfielder has averaged 71 points per game and added almost $100k to his starting price.
Mackay now has the added flexibility of being a DEF/MID for the second half of 2015. The 26-year-old has played every game for Adelaide this year for an average of 69 points, including an equal career-high score of 130 in Round Three against Melbourne.
Van Berlo and Mackay become the second and third Crows to be promoted to dual-position status during the season after Brodie Smith was crowned a DEF/MID on the eve of Round Six. Adelaide now has a total of 10 dual-position players available in this year’s Fantasy competition.
Players were selected to gain a position based on heat maps, time on ground figures and other relevant statistics from AFL stats gurus Champion Data.
All changes have been rolled out immediately in Fantasy Classic, Elite and Match Day. No player will ever lose a position, with a final dual-position update to be released before Round 18 in the lead-up to Fantasy league finals.

Swans veteran Jarrad McVeigh is among several other big names who have also benefited from the latest update. McVeigh can now be chosen as a MID/DEF and has averaged 101 points in his last 10 games.
Demon Daniel Cross ranks fourth in the league for defensive half disposals since Round Six and can also be picked as a DEF/MID.
GWS youngster Toby Greene is likely to rise in popularity as a FWD/MID with Swans tough nut Ben McGlynn (FWD/MID) also receiving a DPP injection after averaging over 100 points per game last season.
Coaches now have more flexibility in their ruck stocks too, with former Crow Kurt Tippett, Brisbane’s Matthew Leuenberger and Geelong big man Rhys Stanley all now named as FWD/RUC.
