Ruckman Jack Osborn has accepted a one-match ban for striking Port Adelaide’s John Butcher in Sunday’s SANFL Showdown.

The 205cm, 107kg rookie was cited by the SANFL Incident Review Panel for the clash early in the third term at Alberton Oval.

The strike was deemed intentional, high, and of low impact, attracting an initial two-match suspension. However an early guilty plea reduced the penalty to a solitary match.

Osborn is now unavailable for Adelaide’s match against South Adelaide at Noarlunga on Saturday afternoon.

Osborn risked a two-match sanction if he decided to challenge the ban.

Players suspended in the SANFL are also unavailable for AFL selection.
