Tom Lynch was one of Adelaide’s only shining lights on an otherwise dark day for the Crows at the SCG.

Lynch’s 107 was the Crows’ only triple-figure score from Adelaide’s clash with the Swans. The 24-year-old worked tirelessly for his team-high total from 21 possessions, 10 marks and three goals.

It was Lynch’s best performance since Round Six and the first time this season that the versatile forward has topped the Fantasy scoresheet for the Crows.

After an injury-ravaged 2014, the former Saint has been one of the best-value buys in the competition this season. Lynch has added over $110k to his starting price and has been a consistent Fantasy scorer all year.

By the numbers: Round 18

Patrick Dangerfield tried his heart out and was Adelaide’s next best Fantasy performer with an 89.

The two-time All Australian gathered a team-high 27 touches along with five marks, but failed the crack the ton for just the third time in his last 10 games.

We’ve come to expect more from Dangerfield this season, such has been his rich vein of form. He remains Adelaide’s top-ranked player in AFL Fantasy and is the only Crow averaging over 100 points per game.

The bullish midfielder loves the big stage and enjoys a great record against the Tigers. He’s projected to score well above the 100-point mark in Round 19, so back ‘Danger’ to return to his best on Friday night.

Unfortunately, Adelaide didn’t have too many other winners on the ground in Saturday’s disappointing 52-point loss.

Sydney boasted the top eight Fantasy scorers of the game, including gun Swan Dan Hannebery whose 153 was the highest score in the competition for Round 18.

But Jarryd Lyons could be worth a look with downgrade targets few and far between at this time of the year. The tough youngster recorded his best total of the year with 65 points from 16 possessions, three tackles, two marks and a goal in the opening term.

He’s a known ball-winner at State League level and will only improve with more exposure in the seniors. With a break even of 41, Lyons could find you some quick cash if he can remain in the side for Friday night’s blockbuster against the Tigers.
