A total of 11 AFL-listed Crows are currently eligible for this year’s SANFL finals series as the Club continues to chase its first appearance in the League’s major round.

The SANFL released a list of qualified players on Wednesday, which includes hard-running midfielder Sam Kerridge, leading goalkicker James Podsiadly and rookie ruckman Reilly O’Brien.

Others including Jarryd Lyons, Brodie Martin, Mitch Grigg, Riley Knight, Jake Kelly, Jake Lever, Harry Dear and Sam Siggins are also close to qualification.

Under SANFL rules, AFL-listed players must play more SANFL matches than AFL games across the season, including three games after June 30. Players selected as an AFL emergency that were unable to travel to the SANFL fixture of that round are credited with a game for eligibility purposes.

Crows development players will be available provided they have played a minimum of three matches during the year in line with all SANFL clubs.

Clubs playing finals can apply for a permit if a player’s failure to qualify was through injury, sickness or any other extenuating circumstances.

If Adelaide is still in the finals race at AFL level however, all players remain eligible to play in the SANFL finals regardless of qualification criteria.

The first week of the SANFL finals series begins on Sunday, September 6 at Adelaide Oval. The SANFL Preliminary Final will be held on Sunday, September 20 at Adelaide Oval at 2.40pm with the Grand Final at Adelaide Oval from 2.10pm on Sunday, September 27.

Weeks Two of the SANFL Finals series - featuring the first and second semi finals - will be confirmed at a later date.
