Best known for his role on Neighbours, Tim Phillipps is a talented Aussie actor and avid Crows fan!

We caught up with the high-flying South Aussie to talk about life and footy.

How and why did you start supporting the Crows?
In about Year One at school, I joined Auskick with my school friends and we all got Crows guernseys. I think the obsession started then!

You’re based in Melbourne now. How often do you watch Crows games?
I never miss a game. I’ve been to all of the Club’s Melbourne games this year and watch the other games on my iPad, TV or at a pub. However possible!

Where’s the quirkiest place you’ve watched a Crows game from?
I streamed a Showdown in 2013 in Los Angeles to my computer and linked it up to my TV, so that me and a few mates could tune in!

Who is your favourite player (past or present), and why?
My hero as a kid was Tony Modra. At school we used to take “screamers” and shout out. “Mooooddraaaa” as we did it … Number 6 will always mean Modra to me.

Do you own any Crows memorabilia or merchandise?
Yep, a guernsey from 1993, 2014 and also the 25th anniversary guernsey. Gotta wear one when we’re playing!

Can you tell us any funny Crows-related stories?
When the Crows won the 1997 Grand Final, I was on a family road trip up to Queensland. Ouronly way of keeping up with the score was on the radio. It was a huge shame to misswatching the match but it was an extremely exciting car ride!

You play Daniel Robinson, the son of the famous Scott (Jason Donovan) and Charlene (Kylie Minogue). Have you actually met your ‘Mum’, Kylie Minogue?!
Haha no … not yet. Hopefully, one day.

A few years ago, you moved to Los Angeles and landed a few movie and TV roles on US screens. Can you tell us about your time over there?
It was an amazing experience. It’s the epicentre of the entertainment industry, which is mind boggling, but sometimes overwhelming. Some of the work I got to do was very challenging but exhilarating. I hope to go back there soon but for now I am very, very happy to be living in Australia.

What are you up to at the moment?
At the moment, I am working on Neighbours. I am loving every second of my time there, being able to act every day and work with such an amazing cast and crew is just incredible. I’m very lucky to be there.
