Patrick Dangerfield has been the most influential player in the competition this season, according to Champion Data's Player Ratings.

The Player Ratings system assesses a variety of factors to determine the overall impact of a player in each game they compete in. How and where a player wins the ball, their disposal effectiveness, defensive impact, and overall contribution to every play they're involved in all contribute to an individual's rating.

Dangerfield was the top-ranked player in the AFL this year with a rating of 393.6 - over 25 points ahead of the next best player Robbie Gray of Port Adelaide.

The bullocking Crow also recorded the best individual performance of the season in Round 20, notching 35.8 ratings points from his 27-possession and three-goal effort against Essendon at Etihad Stadium.

Collingwood's Scott Pendlebury, North Melbourne ruckman Todd Goldstein and Brownlow Medal favourite Nat Fyfe rounded out the top five in the overall rankings.

Sam Jacobs was the next-best Crow at No.16 on 300.4 points. He was the fourth most valuable ruckman in the competition this year according to the formula behind Goldstein, West Coast's Nic Naitanui and big Docker Aaron Sandilands.

All Australian nominee Eddie Betts clocked 293.8 points to be 24th in the competition and the third-best small-medium forward in the AFL for 2015.

Rory Sloane (59th), Tom Lynch (65th), Scott Thompson (86th) Brodie Smith (96th) and Rory Laird (99th) were the remaining Crows ranked inside the top 100.
