Adelaide is seeking development players for next season’s Crows SANFL squad.

Footballers and officials from across the State can now register with the Club and successful applicants will be invited to training sessions in November.

A group of players will then be asked to train over the summer to be part of Adelaide’s 2016 development squad.

Crows GM Football Administration Phil Harper said the Club was eager to continue to discover talented players from South Australian country and community football.

“We had a lot of success with the development program this year,” Harper said. “Matthew Spencely played every SANFL game in his first year at the level and finished high in our best and fairest but a number of other development players also contributed to our Club.”

Nineteen development squad players appeared with the Crows at SANFL level this year.

“It’s an excellent opportunity for players who are not currently in the SANFL system,” Harper said.

“We are looking for players with a high level of skills, athleticism, competitiveness and most importantly work ethic.

“Our development program allows the players to work under our coaches and perhaps play league football, and they can still continue to be a part of their home club.”

Candidates must be:

  • Aged 18-22 on January 1, 2016
  • Have not played an SANFL game in the past 12 months

Registrations open today and will close on October 9.
