Crows CEO Andrew Fagan gave partner Alana Smith a special birthday surprise on Sunday by asking for her hand in marriage.

After a busy week preparing for Adelaide’s NAB Challenge opener against West Coast, Fagan stunned Smith by proposing on Sunday morning just hours before the first bounce at Unley Oval.

The couple’s engagement is the latest chapter in what has been an exciting time for the pair since they relocated to Adelaide at the end of 2014.

Fagan and Smith welcomed their first child, Giselle, into the world in August last year. The Crows CEO also has two other children, Jade and Ivy, from a previous relationship as part of their growing family.

Smith took to Instagram to share her excitement with family, friends and Crows fans.
