South Australia’s best women’s footballers will contest the third annual SANFL Women’s All-Stars match at Adelaide Oval on Saturday.

The best players from an eight-week training program – which included four weeks hosted by the Adelaide Football Club – will be out to impress the State selectors ahead of the June 5 game against New South Wales.

Last year’sState captain CourtneyCramey has been ruled out of the match with a slight hamstring strain.

Cramey’sMorphettville Park team-mate Dayna Cox will also be sidelined because of a backinjury.

Someplayers with backgrounds in other sports – including soccer goalkeeper Kelly Barltrop andbasketballer Anne Hatchard – are also keen to impress.

Saturday’s curtain-raiser to the Showdown starts at 10.15am, shortly after the Adelaide Oval gates open.
