Former Melbourne midfielder Jimmy Toumpas could make his Port Adelaide debut in Showdown XL.

Toumpas collected 25 possessions, six marks and four inside 50ms in Port Adelaide's SANFL loss to Norwood on Thursday night. The ex-Demon could be in line to replace Power speedster Matt White, who will miss at least 12 weeks with a torn pectoral muscle.

Toumpas played in all three NAB Challenge games for Port but was overlooked in its Round One win over St Kilda.

Aaron Young could also come under consideration after amassing 26 disposals and nine clearances against the Redlegs. The 23-year-old has played 42 games for the Power with his last senior appearance coming in Round 22, 2015.

Defender Cam O'Shea is another option for Ken Hinkley at the selection table. O'Shea collected 21 possessions, seven marks and four rebound 50ms in Thursday night's SANFL clash with the Redlegs.

Ruckman Dougal Howard also kicked three goals in the contest but is considered unlikely to force his way into the senior team this weekend.
