RAA and the Adelaide Football Club are signing up Adelaide Crows fans for a once in a lifetime opportunity to play in the RAA Legends match on Adelaide Oval in late August.

Over the coming weeks supporters can nominate for this amazing chance to play on the hallowed turf of Adelaide Oval in Round 23 by visiting the RAA website or the RAA station at selected matches.

This Saturday night they can sign up at the RAA station at the southern entrance to Adelaide Oval prior to the Adelaide Crows versus Sydney Swans clash.

Adelaide Crows Hall of Famer Tony Modra, who will play in the Legends match, will be on hand from 5-6pm at the RAA station to mingle with supporters as they sign up for their chance to play.

Modra will be joined in the match by former teammates including Darren and Andrew Jarman, Nigel Smart and Matt Robran.

The Legends match will be the curtain raiser at Adelaide Oval prior to the Adelaide Crows’ final home and away match against the West Coast Eagles in the last weekend in August*.

RAA’s General Manager Sales and Marketing Tom Griffiths assures Adelaide Crows supporters there will be plenty of opportunities over the next 18 weeks to be chosen to play in the RAA Legends Game.

“Our first supporter selected is Trudy East from Mt Barker who is being personally presented with her RAA Legends Game training pack by Adelaide Crows COO Nigel Smart this week,” Mr Griffiths said.

“Over the coming weeks RAA will be running a variety of selection opportunities at games, through our websites and on social media, so hopeful supporters need to stay connected with RAA and AFC.”

Adelaide Football Club Chief Operating Officer Nigel Smart said the RAA Legends Game represents an engaging, unique and inclusive partnership for Crows fans and RAA Members.

“We’re thrilled to have RAA, as Official Member Partner, work with us on such an innovative and integrated experience for our fans,” Mr Smart said.

Adelaide Crows supporters who are drawn to play in the RAA Legends match will receive coaching tips and information prior to game day, culminating in a RAA Legends Game training session with a Club coach and player prior to the big day.

Post-game there will be time to kick back and enjoy AFC hospitality before watching the Adelaide versus West Coast blockbuster.
