Many of the candidates for a potential Crows AFL team in the new AFL national women’s competition next year will be on show at Adelaide Oval on Saturday.

A Northern Territory team will play South Australia in the curtainraiser to the Crows’ Indigenous Round clash with GWS Giants, as part of the talent identification behind Adelaide’s joint bid with AFLNT for a women’s licence.

The NT side, to be coached by Crows legend Andrew McLeod and Wally Gallio, includes Angela Foley and Amy Chittick who represented Melbourne’s women’s team against Brisbane Lions at the MCG on Sunday.

The visitors will bring down 17 players with some SA players to complete the team for the exhibition game, which starts at 4.40pm on Saturday.

It will be the final hit-out for the SANFL women’s team ahead of its June 5 clash with NSW/ACT at Adelaide Oval, a curtainraiser to Adelaide’s AFL game against St Kilda.
