Crows fans believe Rory Atkins is Adelaide’s most improved player this season.

Atkins, who turns 22 in July, was chosen by more than a third of all respondents in an interactive poll hosted on afc.com.au earlier in the week.

The skilful left-footer received 35 per cent of the total vote. More than 2,300 participants took part in the poll.

After making his AFL debut in Showdown XXXIX last year, Atkins played eight senior games, but was left out of Adelaide’s Semi-Final loss to Hawthorn at the MCG.

He’s played every match so far this season, averaging 20 possessions, five marks and four inside 50ms a game. Atkins ranks second at the Club inside 50ms, fourth for hard-ball gets, fifth for disposals and seventh for clearances.

Key defender Kyle Hartigan was another popular selection as Adelaide’s biggest improver this year. The former rookie received 20 per cent of the vote after playing every game since Round Two this season.

Prolific ball-winner Matt Crouch placed third, attracting 16 per cent of all responses. Second-year backman Jake Lever, who hasn’t missed a game this season, was next in line on 10 per cent.
