Troy Menzel has accepted a fine and reprimand after being cited by the SANFL Incident Review panel for striking in Sunday’s Semi-Final against South Adelaide.

The left-footer made contact with South Adelaide’s Joel Cross off the ball late in the opening term of the SANFL Crows’ Semi-Final victory.

The SANFL IRP deemed the contact was intentional, to the body and of low impact. Dual Magarey Medallist Cross was able play out the match for the Panthers.

The incident initially attracted a one-match suspension, but Menzel accepted a $200 fine and a reprimand with an early guilty plea on Tuesday and remains available for Sunday’s SANFL Preliminary Final against Sturt.

Players suspended at SANFL level are also unavailable for AFL selection.
