The Adelaide Football Club and South Australia Club in London have kicked off their exciting new partnership with a successful Grand Final lunch at Australia House in the United Kingdom.

Crows premiership stars Nigel Smart and Kym Koster, sporting icons Pat Cash and Phil Liggett, High Commissioner and Adelaide Ambassador Alexander Downer, and Essendon star David Zaharakis were among the guests at the South Australia Club AFL Grand Final Function on September 30.

Thanks to Thomas Foods International, eight lucky Crows fans in the UK also had the opportunity to attend the event, which was held in partnership with the Agent Generals office of SA.

Crows Chief Operating Officer Nigel Smart said the lunch was the first in a series of activities involving the two organisations.

“The South Australia Club AFL Grand Final Function, in partnership with the Adelaide Football Club, was a wonderful success,” Smart said.

“With a capacity crowd of over 200 attending the event, we will now work with the Agent Generals office for events and activities planned for 2017, including the 2017 Grand Final function.

“We see this as a great way to connect with our thousands of supporters living abroad, while at the same time promoting our great state of South Australia.

“The South Australia Club has quickly become the pre-eminent business networking forum for Australians in London, and a partnership between the Adelaide Football Club and The South Australia Club creates great opportunities for both organisations and for South Australia."
