Pre-Season fixture unveiled

December 7, 2016 9:50 AM

Crows 2017 JLT Community Series Fixture The Pre-Season competition is back with a new sponsor in 2017.

Adelaide will play two of its three pre-season games at SANFL metropolitan venues in the newly named JLT Community Series.

The Crows open their 2017 campaign against Richmond at Etihad Stadium on Friday, February 24, but then don’t leave South Australia for the rest of the pre-season period.

Adelaide’s second game will be against Geelong at Richmond Oval on Sunday, March 5. The Crows last played an AFL-sanctioned match at Richmond Oval in the 2014 NAB Challenge series.

Adelaide then hosts the Brisbane Lions at Hickinbotham Oval (Noarlunga) on Saturday, March 11 to complete its pre-season campaign.

The competition will be known as the JLT Community Series for at least the next three years with the AFL joining forces with the Australia-wide Insurance Broker JLT (Jardine Lloyd Thompson).

All 18 teams are scheduled to play three matches across a four-week period between Thursday, February 16 and Sunday, March 12 leading into the 2017 Toyota AFL Premiership Season.

Six matches will be played across each of the first three weekends of the competition, providing one bye for all clubs. Adelaide’s bye is in the first week of the fixture.

Every team will be in action on the final weekend of the JLT Community Series.

All pre-season matches will be broadcast live on Fox Footy and via the AFL Live App.

Club members with match entitlements will have free entry to the 2017 JLT Community Series matches in which their Club is competing. Members can scan their membership card for free entry into their matches (subject to capacity) or upgrade their membership to a reserved seat or register for a ticket in order to guarantee their entry (subject to availability, upgrade fees may be applicable).
