Crows Children’s Foundation kicking goals

Crows support Aspect Treetop School The Crows are proud to support the Aspect Treetop School in building their playground.

Crows Captain Taylor Walker and Crows Children’s Foundation Board Member Kyle Hartigan saw first-hand the difference the Crows Children’s Foundation is making to students at the Aspect Tree Top School in Ashford this week.

Autism Spectrum Australia was a 2016 charity partner of the Foundation and received $50,000 to develop a new playground for the school, which is the only school in this state dedicated to children on the autism spectrum.

Walker and Hartigan visited the school to see the new playground equipment, climbing walls, trampoline and more, which are all getting a great work out by the students.

The students made welcome signs and were very excited to meet the players, have their posters signed and pictures taken.

“It’s awesome to come out and see the playground and the smiles on the kids’ faces, they love all the equipment and going on the swings,” Hartigan said.

“I love to see kids happy — it’s only a small thing I can do but I like getting out to see the end product and helping.

“The more support and donations the Foundation can get, the bigger it can get and the more things like this we can make happen in the community.”

The Foundation welcomes grant applications from children’s charities each year in October and will announce our 2017 partners in the coming weeks.
