Contested football is a buzzword across the league with coaches mentioning it at most press conferences.

On Sunday’s episode of The Crows Show, Adelaide midfield coach Scott Camporeale explains to us exactly what contested football involves and which statistics are important.

Also on the show, the AFL is the most watched and consumed elite sport in the country, however, Australian Bureau of Statistics data show that more Australians are playing soccer nationwide than football.

We speak to SANFL General Manager of Football Adam Kelly who says that South Australia is bucking this trend.

“We stand alone as football being the number one sport in the state of South Australia,” Kelly said.

“That’s significant, it speaks to the work of our club network.”

We hear from inaugural Crow and former Cat Bruce Lindner about his personal rivalry with Hawthorn.

After an injury interrupted start to 2017, classy wingman Paul Seedsman talks about his return to playing and what he needs to do to get back in the senior side.

And Brodie Smith puts draftee Myles Poholke in the Hot Seat.
