Defender Kyle Hartigan will be sidelined for up to six weeks with a hamstring injury.

Hartigan, 25, hobbled from the ground clutching his hamstring in the third quarter of Adelaide’s win over Carlton at the MCG on Saturday.

“Scan results have revealed a little bit of damage to that hamstring,” said Crows General Manager of High Performance Matt Hass.

“We expect him (Hartigan) to be out for about a month to six weeks.”

Forward Tom Lynch will miss at least another week as he recovers from viral meningitis.

Lynch fell ill early last week and spent some time in hospital.

The 26-year-old visited the Club on Monday and is resting at home.

“Lynchy won’t play this weekend and will be an ongoing assessment for the weeks ahead,” Hass said.

“We won’t rush things with Tom.

“It’ll be a day-by-day assessment on how he adapts and copes with physical activity.”

Charlie Cameron (wrist) and Harrison Wigg (hip) are in line to return this week.

The pair didn’t play at either level on the weekend because of minor injury complaints.

Cameron and Wigg will be available for selection if they complete main training on Tuesday.

However, Kyle Cheney (hamstring) and Reilly O’Brien (back) won’t be fit to play this weekend.

The duo missed Adelaide’s SANFL loss to Sturt on the weekend.

Hass said Cheney was a late withdrawal with a hamstring injury, while O’Brien has a sore back.

“Scans have revealed really minor hamstring damage for Kyle. We expect him to miss 1 – 2 weeks,” he said.

“Reilly O’Brien pulled up with a stiff back out of the Centrals (SANFL) match and didn’t play on the weekend,” he said.

“It’s continuing to settle. He won’t play this week and he’ll be an ongoing assessment beyond that.”
