Brodie Smith has stormed his way into the AFL’s Team of the Week for the first time this season.

Smith was back to his damaging best against Carlton with 30 possessions at 77 per cent efficiency, gaining more than 600 metres for his side. The 25-year-old also took six marks, had five inside 50ms, four rebound 50ms and kicked a goal in a stellar performance.

The dashing Crow earned a place in a back pocket in his maiden Team of the Week appearance of 2017.

By the numbers: Round 15

Teammate Matt Crouch was the only other Crow to feature in this week’s side, edging out brother Brad for the fans’ pick on the interchange bench.

Crouch continued his consistent season with another 30-possession performance, which included a team-best 14 contested possessions, nine clearances and five tackles. The 22-year-old also snapped a crucial goal in the final term.

It’s Crouch’s second Team of the Week spot of the season. He was also named in the Round Five side for his influential 35-disposal display against Gold Coast.

West Coast led the way with three representatives ahead of Hawthorn, Carlton, Geelong, GWS, Richmond, Brisbane and Adelaide with two players each. St Kilda, Gold Coast, Port Adelaide, Fremantle and Sydney had one player feature.
