Adelaide has added young onballer Harrison Wigg for Saturday’s SANFL Showdown against Port Adelaide.

Wigg, 20, returns from a hip complaint which kept him sidelined in last week’s loss to Sturt.

The left-footer, who is averaging 25 possessions and four clearances a game, has been named on the ball for Saturday’s clash.

Reigning State League Club Champion Jonathon Beech further strengthens the side for the contest at Alberton Oval, which begins at 2.40pm.

Beech returns to SANFL duties after playing the last three games at AFL level since making his debut against St Kilda.

Defender Kurt Waterman is the final inclusion from the Club’s SANFL development squad.

Experienced tall Andy Otten has been recalled to Adelaide’s AFL team for Friday night’s clash with the Western Bulldogs.

Beech, wingman Paul Seedsman and Crows SANFL co-captain Hugh Greenwood, who has had his workload managed, will serve as the Club’s senior emergencies.

Adelaide sits sixth and Port Adelaide second on the SANFL ladder after 11 rounds, yet only one win separates the two teams. Full match preview
