Eight Crows hit triple AFL Fantasy figures in Adelaide’s dominant 84-point Showdown XLIII win on Sunday.

It’s the third time this year that Adelaide has prospered in bad weather, the conditions proving to be the perfect storm for a Crows outfit set on hitting the scoreboard.

Brad Crouch led Adelaide’s list with 129 points, recording 29 disposals, nine clearances and eight tackles in the contest.

It’s the sixth ton in a row for the midfielder, who made his return from injury after fracturing his cheekbone against Geelong in Round 18.

He now averages 103.6 points a game, while his impressive string of form has seen his price rise to a season-high $610,000 – an $85,000 profit for team owners who have backed Crouch in since Round One.

Sam Jacobs followed with 125 points, edging out Port Adelaide’s Paddy Ryder in an entertaining battle between two of the league’s premier ruckmen.

‘Sauce’ had 42 hit-outs, laid six tackles and kicked two goals to be adjudged best-on-ground, joining elite company by claiming his third Showdown Medal on the night.

It was a welcome return to form for Rory Sloane, who scored 124 points in his third strong wet weather performance this season.

Sloane also recorded tons in Adelaide’s rain-swept wins over Fremantle and the Western Bulldogs earlier this year.

He had 30 disposals (17 contested), nine clearances and led the Crows for inside 50ms, delivering a game-high 10 entries on a night where Adelaide outperformed the Power 81-31.

Matt Crouch (116) had a game-high 34 touches, while Taylor Walker (115) had four goals and two goal assists in a strong aerial performance where he finished with an equal game-high for marks (eight).

Rory Laird (109), Eddie Betts (103) and Tom Lynch (101) rounded out Adelaide’s 100 club, while Hugh Greenwood (97) fell just shy of the century after laying a game-high 13 tackles.
