Richmond forward Sam Lloyd has put his hand up to return against Adelaide in Saturday’s Toyota AFL Grand Final.

Lloyd was awarded the Norm Goss Medal on Sunday, adjudged best on ground during Richmond’s four-point VFL Grand Final loss to Port Melbourne.

Playing a midfield role, Lloyd had 35 disposals, 10 clearances and nine tackles in the contest.

He last played at AFL level during Richmond’s Round 16 loss to St Kilda.

"I'm going to prepare like I could be a chance,” Lloyd told media post-game.

“You never know what could happen. I feel like I've put my hand up."
