The mock drafts are in ahead of Friday night’s NAB AFL Draft in Sydney.

Predicting the first round with any certainty is proving difficult in what is a very even draft.

Here’s a compilation of who some of the top draft experts are tipping for Adelaide’s pick 12.

CAL TWOMEY, AFL MEDIA
Aiden Bonar*
Height: 190cm
Weight: 89kg
Position: Forward/midfielder
DOB: 8/3/99
From: Dandenong Stingrays

Rationale: Bonar will be one of the most interesting players to watch on draft night and the Crows could get a good one with him at 12 if they go his way. He is a powerful forward who, in time, is seen by some as becoming a strong-bodied inside midfielder. He is athletically one of the best prospects in it – quick, agile and can jump – but recruiters will weigh that against his history of having two knee reconstructions. Hunter Clark will appeal in the slim chance he gets to the Crows' pick. Nick Coffield is another shot, Ed Richards' dash could make them think hard, while they'd find it difficult to pass on Darcy Fogarty if he's surprisingly still on the board at 12.

*Twomey updated his selection for Adelaide at pick No.12 on Thursday to Ed Richards

Ed Richards
Height: 184cm
Weight: 77kg
Position: Defender
DOB: 3/7/99
From: Oakleigh Chargers

Aiden Bonar

BRETT ANDERSON, SEN, INSIDE FOOTY
Hunter Clark
Height: 186cm
Weight: 80kg
Position: Midfielder
DOB: 26/3/99
From: Dandenong Stingrays

Rationale: Adelaide will sit and wait to see who gets through to them. Many expect that Darcy Fogarty doesn't get past them if available but Hunter Clark adds some depth, grunt and class to midfield. Oscar Allen's name has come up in the last few days but is that a fit?

Hunter Clark

SAM LANDSBERGER, HERALD SUN
Aiden Bonar

Rationale: Coach Don Pyke liked Bonar when they met but the Crows would love Hunter Clark to skip to No.12. They would take South Australian Darcy Fogarty but have conceded he won’t make it this far.

DANIEL CHERNY, THE AGE
Jack Higgins
Height: 178cm
Weight: 77kg
DOB: 19/3/99
Position: Forward
From: Oakleigh Chargers/Vic Metro

Rationale: The Crows are on record saying they would take South Australian Fogarty if he slipped this far but that looks highly improbable. It's also thought they'd take Clark or Bonar if one of them made it to this point.

Jack Higgins

RILEY BEVERIDGE, FOX SPORTS
Darcy Fogarty

Height: 192cm
Weight: 92kg
Position: Utility
DOB: 25/9/99
From: Glenelg

Rationale: North Melbourne could be keen on Fogarty with Pick 4, but if the cards fall the way of the Crows — there’s every chance he could be available at Pick 12. The Crows would also consider Hunter Clark, should he slip, while Jack Higgins and Aiden Bonar might also be in contention should they still be on the board.

Darcy Fogarty

MATT BALMER, AFL DRAFT CENTRAL
Oscar Allen
Height: 191cm
Weight: 82kg
Position: Forward
DOB: 19/3/99
From: West Perth/Western Australia

The Crows would love Hunter Clark or Darcy Fogarty to get through – but it seems more unlikely than likely that will happen. Could they consider Jack Higgins here? Nick Coffield’s name also has been raised, but it’s most likely he’s off the board. Whispers in Sydney today suggested Zac Bailey might be taken by the Crows at Pick 12.
