Captain Taylor Walker is available for selection ahead of Adelaide’s clash with Richmond on Thursday night.

Walker, who missed last week’s loss to Essendon with a foot injury, completed the Club’s main training session on Tuesday.

Tom Lynch (side strain) trained too and could also be a welcome addition to the Crows forward line.

“Tex did another main training session today. All went well, so that goes to match committee now to decide if they’re happy he’s done enough work (to play),” said Crows GM of High Performance Matt Hass.

“Lynchy trained well today also. We just need to see how he pulls up tomorrow.”

Unfortunately, midfielders Sam Gibson and Curtly Hampton have been ruled out of the Grand Final rematch.

Hampton injured his adductor in the third quarter against Essendon, while Gibson was a late withdrawal from the game after experiencing hamstring tightness at training last Thursday.

“Given the six-day turnaround into Richmond, it’s just a bridge too far for Sam to safely play,” Hass said.

“We’re hopeful that he’s available next week against St Kilda.

“Curtly Hampton will miss this weekend as well. Again, we’re hopeful that he’s available next week.”

Forward/wingman Riley Knight is also aiming to return next weekend.

Knight is yet to play a game this season after undergoing ankle surgery in February.

“Riley’s in the final week of his rehab program and we expect him to play his first match of the season in the SANFL next week,” Hass said.

Defender Alex Keath will miss another week with an ankle injury sustained in Adelaide’s second JLT Community Series match.
