Adelaide forward Riley Knight is one of three AFL-listed players added to a 23-man Crows SANFL squad to face reigning premier Sturt on Sunday afternoon.

The 23-year-old, who played 19 senior games in 2017 including the AFL Grand Final, is set for his first competitive outing of the year after making a successful recovery from minor ankle surgery.

Curtly Hampton and Myles Poholke will also pull on the boots at SANFL level for the first time this season after both spent one week on the sidelines with adductor and hip issues respectively.

The trio will be a welcome addition to an undermanned SANFL Crows side that suffered a heavy Round One defeat to Port Adelaide, however, experienced defender Kyle Cheney will miss the Round Two clash due to a hamstring injury suffered against the Magpies. Development squad member Corey Davey is the only the other out at this stage.

The squad will be trimmed to 21 on Friday.

This will be Crows rookie Patrick Wilson’s first game against his old side, after he made his SANFL Crows debut last week.

The clash with Sturt gets underway at 2.10pm on Sunday at Peter Motley Oval in Unley.
