SUMMARY
This is a massive game in the context of the season for both clubs. The Crows will be desperate for a response after their embarrassing 91-point drubbing at the hands of Melbourne in Alice Springs last weekend, while the Giants have lost four straight by an average losing margin of 41 points. Given their huge injury list, if the Crows (6-4) can win two out of their next three games heading into the mid-season bye, then they're in a pretty good position when their reinforcements arrive. For the Giants (4-1-4), who have also had a horror run with injury, they've simply got to find a way to reinvigorate their attack after struggling to score in the past six weeks. Having co-captain Phil Davis back from concussion will help shore up their defence, but they really need to discover some run and carry from half-back. The Giants must take the game on and take a few risks against a Crows' side out to prove a point.

THE SIX POINTS

1. The Crows comfortably took care of the Giants in both games last year, booting a combined 34 goals to 20. Eddie Betts kicked seven goals across the two encounters, while Matt Crouch averaged 30.5 disposals.

2. Winning the contest is an area the Crows pride themselves on. They are ranked second in the League with 155.4 contested possessions per game. In contrast, the Giants are ranked 10th, with an average of 146.3 per game.

3. It's been all one-way traffic in this rivalry. Since the Giants entered the competition in 2012, the Crows have won eight of their nine games. Five have been by more than 50 points, with two more than 100.

4. The Giants are struggling to put points on the board. They're averaging just 62 points per game since round five, and haven't kicked more than 10 goals in a game since round four.

5. The Giants have lost five of their six games at Adelaide Oval, and they've never beaten the Crows in Adelaide.

6. Crows midfielder Hugh Greenwood is flying up the Schick AFL Player Ratings. He's improved 52 places since round six, going from 249th overall to 197th.

IT'S A BIG WEEK FOR …

The final game of Sir Doug Nicholls Indigenous Round is the perfect spotlight for Adelaide star Eddie Betts to shine brightest. Betts always produces some trademark magic when it's required, as he showed against the Giants in their Indigenous Round clash in 2016 with a brilliant goal from the boundary that won Goal of the Year. Don't be surprised if he turns on another brilliant display.

PREDICTION: Adelaide by 36 points
