Three of South Australia’s brightest sporting talents have been announced as official Crows Ambassadors.

Cricketers Alex Carey and Megan Schutt and professional golfer Wade Ormsby join a select number of prominent and passionate Crows supporters who are recognised as Club Ambassadors, including Lleyton Hewitt, Patty Mills, Callum Hann, Sam Willoughby, Beccy Cole and Olivia Rogers, to name a few.

West Lakes-raised Ormsby has supported the Club since the beginning and vividly remembers riding his bike to Max Basheer Oval and watching the team train when he was young.

The 38-year-old, who is currently competing overseas, grew up idolising Tony Modra and now particularly enjoys watching Adelaide’s new number six, Bryce Gibbs.

Similarly, Megan Schutt has been a Crows supporter her entire life. 25-year-old Schutt, South Australia’s highest profile women’s cricketer, loved watching Andrew McLeod growing up and, like many of the Club’s supporters, is particularly happy after a Showdown win.

Schutt was recently named captain of South Australia’s women’s cricket team, the Scorpions, and is looking forward to moving home to Adelaide from Brisbane so she can attend more Crows games at Adelaide Oval in 2019.

A former Australian rules footballer with Glenelg and then Greater Western Sydney in the NEAFL, Alex Carey is also a long-time Crows supporter. The 26-year-old transitioned to domestic cricket when he returned to SA in 2012 and is currently vice-captain of the Australian T20 team.

As Ambassadors Carey, Schutt and Ormsby will attend a number of Club events and matches each year.
