Adelaide and North Melbourne have played 42 times with Adelaide narrowly leading the head-to-head 22-20.

Their most recent meeting was Round Seven last year, when North set up a 59-point win with ten opening-quarter goals to end Adelaide’s undefeated start to the season.

The Crows were scoreless in the first quarter, the seventh time Adelaide has played a scoreless quarter.

In five games at Adelaide Oval, North Melbourne is yet to win, and against Adelaide has lost on average by 52 points.

Their only game against Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval was a 70-point loss last season.

The Kangaroos have not defeated the Crows in Adelaide since 2003, failing in all 10 attempts since.

Six of North’s 12 victories in South Australia occurred between 1996 and 2000.

North defender Scott Thompson enters with a 6-7 record against the Crows with his 24 disposals from last season’s clash his fourth highest return since 2014.

Richard Douglas is 7-6 against the Kangaroos and had 30 disposals in that same game. In Round 1, 2015, he had 31 disposals. Both sit in his top 10.

He also has career-best tallies in clearances (10 in Round 22, 2014), inside 50s (10 in Round 9, 2013) and kicks (22 in Round 1, 2015) against North.

Shaun Higgins (averages 27.2 disposals) and Ben Cunnington (25.9) are North’s best ball winners this season.

Cunnington (averages 6.7 clearances) and Higgins (5.4) also lead the Kangaroos with centre clearances (2.4 each).

Told Goldstein (averages 36.4 hitouts) and Sam Jacobs (36.9) will match up well. They both average 2.8 clearances while Goldstein leads disposals (14.3-11.7) and marks (3.3-2.5).
