Trek to Everest with the Crows

Ever wanted to see Mount Everest and trek to the Base Camp?

In April next year, the Crows Children’s Foundation is once again providing keen trekkers a once in a lifetime opportunity to travel to Everest Base Camp.

The 17-day trek will take participants along one of the most famous routes in the world as they raise much-needed funds for the people of Nepal.

The journey will start in the nation’s vibrant capital, Kathmandu, before the group flies in a twin-engine plane to Lukla.

They will then trek into the very heart of the Nepali Himalaya through breathtaking scenery, while being immersed in an amazing cultural experience on the way.

Reaching Base Camp will also be a rewarding personal challenge for participants, having reached 5380m above sea level.

In 2017, Adelaide defender Kyle Hartigan and AFLW forward Sarah Perkins completed the trek and lauded the experience.

This will be third time the Foundation has hosted the trek, with participants fundraising for not only the charity, but also the Nepalese people following the deadly 2015 earthquake.

Participants will fundraise a minimum of $1500 before taking part.

An itinerary is available here, while a Crows Trek Everest information session will be held on Thursday, November 1 at the Adelaide Football Club.

Please email Louise McDonald on lmcdonald@afc.com.au to register your interest in attending the information session.
