Trent Hentschel, sidelined since round two after a knee arthroscopy, will return with Woodville-West Torrens reserves in the SANFL on Saturday.
Hentschel has trained with Adelaide’s main group for the past week but will test his knee in match conditions against West Adelaide at Richmond Oval.
In the league game, Jarrhan Jacky and Robert Shirley will line up for the Eagles while Chris Schmidt has been named in defence for West.
Crows ruckmen Jonathon Griffin and Ivan Maric are expected to spend time opposed to each other when Central District plays Port Magpies at Elizabeth on Saturday night.
Griffin has been named to lead Central’s ruck division while Maric will also spend some time forward, where he has kicked seven goals for the Magpies.
Two other young Crows may also spend some time against each other at Norwood tonight. Will Young has been named at full back for the Redlegs while James Sellar is likely to play forward for Glenelg.
In Saturday’s game at Unley, Brodie Martin will be on a wing for Sturt and the Panthers have Crows teenagers Shaun McKernan and Myke Cook.
North Adelaide has the bye this week but Rory Sloane, Phil Davis and Nick Gill may have a run in a trial game against the State under-18s.
Brian Donnelly (Glenelg), Kite (Norwood) and Henderson (Central District) are in the reserves
