Adelaide made its first father-son selection in the Club’s history by selecting Ben Jarman, the son of two-time Adelaide premiership star Darren, via 2016’s AFL Rookie Draft. A crafty and talented ball-user with great goal sense, Jarman represented South Australia at the Under-18 National Championships, kicking three goals against Victoria Country in the Croweaters’ final match. He also played three League games with SANFL club North Adelaide after making his debut in the Roosters’ season-opener. He’s the third Jarman to become a Crow, following in the footsteps of his father Darren and also his uncle in two-time Magarey Medallist Andrew Jarman. Consistent midfielder Tyson Edwards is also an uncle on his mother’s side of the family.
