Mackay played 22 games including all three finals in Season 2017. The wingman kicked a career-high three goals in Adelaide’s Round Two win over Hawthorn at the MCG. He averaged five tackles in the last six games of the season, laying a season-high seven against Essendon in Round 21. In reach of the 200-game milestone in 2018.

Season by Season

The dashing wingman averaged 20 disposals from 19 matches in Season 2016. Mackay became just the 17th Crow to play 150 games when he notched up the milestone in Round Six against Fremantle. A hamstring injury the following round interrupted his season, but Mackay’s diligent rehabilitation helped him make a smooth return mid-year after just four games on the sidelines. Ranked sixth at the Club for total metres gained (7,068m) and averaged three inside 50ms per match. Awarded Life Membership on Club Champion night and also earned the Dr Brian Sando OAM Trophy for his outstanding professionalism and attention to detail.

Season by Season

Mackay started the season well using his familiar run and carry to break lines and propel his side forward. His silky skills were best displayed on a wet day in Round Three versus Melbourne where he had 23 possessions, kicked a goal and laid 13 tackles. Playing a combination of wing and half-back, Mackay continued this form and had a season-high 24 possessions two weeks in a row against St Kilda and Greater Western Sydney in Rounds Seven and Eight. Mackay’s form tapered in the latter part of the season and he was sent back to the SANFL. He returned to the senior side in time for finals and will be looking to consolidate his spot in 2016.

Season by Season

The damaging wingman enjoyed a consistent 2014 despite missing three games because of injury in the latter part of the season. Mackay averaged 18 disposals and kicked a personal-best 11 goals for the season. His best performance came against St Kilda in Round Four, where he kicked two goals from 29 possessions in a dominant display. The line-breaking Crow resisted the lure of Free Agency to sign a four-year deal with the Club, which will likely see him finish his career at Adelaide.

Season by Season

Mackay endured a frustrating 2013, showing glimpses of his damaging run and carry. The line-breaking wingman collected a season-high 25 possessions in Adelaide’s memorable Round 17 win over Geelong, but struggled for consistency. He ranked fifth at the Club in tackles and goal assists and reached the 100-game milestone against Fremantle in Round 10.

Season by Season

The once lightly-built wingman bulked up over the 2012 pre-season and improved his durability as a result. Mackay played 23 of a possible 25 games, averaging 17 possessions and four tackles. The line-breaking Crow started the year in the midfield, but was soon switched to defence where he was able to add much-needed offensive run and carry. Signed a three-year deal late in the season.

Season by Season

Mackay suffered a shoulder injury in the Crows’ season-opener against Hawthorn and didn’t return to the side until Round 15. Despite playing just eight games for the season, Mackay impressed with his run and carry and ability to break the lines, posting the second-highest percentage of inside50ms that led to a goal at the Club. He also ran hard defensively, averaging the second-most pressure acts. The 23-year-old collected a season-high 28 disposals against Gold Coast in Round 22 and averaged 16 disposals and three inside50ms a game.
