Orval displayed good early form in the Central District reserves, but was hampered by shoulder and knee injuries – the latter requiring surgery – throughout the season. Son of former Collingwood player Mark, Orval is a mid-sized forward with exceptional marking ability.

A promising junior forward, Orval slipped through to Adelaide’s second pick (No.23 overall) in last December’s Rookie Draft after spending much of the 2011 season recuperating from a knee reconstruction. At 190cm and 80kg, the former Caulfield Grammar student is an excellent overhead mark and a booming kick. Orval is the son of former Collingwood player, Mark.
