Lyons played three AFL games in his second season at West Lakes, and could’ve played more if not for a foot injury and Adelaide’s settled senior line-up. The inside midfielder made his debut against Port Adelaide in Round Five, displaying clean hands and football smarts around the stoppages. He was squeezed out of the team in Round Eight, but continued to show strong form for SANFL club Glenelg and was rewarded with a new deal with the Crows.

Season by Season

Adelaide’s youngest-listed player in 2011, Lyons played several quality senior games for SANFL club Glenelg before tiring towards the end of his first season in the AFL system. The 19-year-old has clean hands, excelling with his in-close work at the stoppages. With another full pre-season under his belt, Lyons will be one of a number of young Crows looking for an opportunity in 2012.
