Dangerfield established himself as an elite player of the competition in 2012, earning All-Australian selection and finishing seventh in the Brownlow Medal. The game-breaking onballer relished a full-time role in the Crows’ engine room, ranking 10th in the League in total disposals (600), second in contested possession (361), fourth in clearances (147) and first in hard-ball gets (184). The emerging leader signed a new contract in 2012 and will be a vital part of the team going forward.

Dangerfield pushed up the ground to play a more prominent midfield role in his fourth season at the Club. The line-breaking ball winner enjoyed the extra minutes in Adelaide’s engine room, averaging a career-best 17 disposals per game. The 21-year-old also had an impact on the scoreboard, kicking 23 goals to finish third in the Club’s goalkicking. The Crows contested-ball king picked up a season-high 31 possessions against Richmond in round 23 and has been included in the senior leadership group for 2012.
