Symes endured a frustrating year because of injury, managing only 11 appearances. The hard-running wingman picked up a season-high 29 disposals, nine marks and five tackles against his former team Port Adelaide in round four. He earned a contract extension in October and will be hoping for a change of luck in 2012.
David Noble: “Brad wasn't able to have clean run at it because of injury. I don't think we've got too many players that can read the play while it's going as well as 'Symesy' can. He had a frustrating year, and he'll have to look after himself through pre-season because of his knee as he's done the last couple of years. He'll get himself back up and going.”
